Summer is coming to an end
The end of summer is almost here. Uhhh. Kaleigh and I went to my family reunion this past weekend while Isaac was working. Kaleigh got to go out into the river and ride in a canoe. She thought it was the best thing in the whole world. Then after that, we picked up Janelle so the two girls could have a sleep over. It went pretty well considering they were both tired by the time we got back into town. It is amazing the different personalities. I am so used to Jack and Kaleigh playing together and not having to worry about sharing, bossiness, dictating roles, etc that I forget that not all playtimes go as smooth as the ones that I am used to. Girls are very competitive in the things that they do, even at such a young age. It just gives me a whole other perspective. Maybe I need to get Kaleigh into a playgroup of some kind or arrange a play date with some kids her age. I would just really hate that when she gets into preschool, she gets her world crushed when kids won't share and is bossed around. She is a really strong willed girl so I don't think I will have to worry, but as a mother I do. Anyways, so we have one last vacation planned for the summer. I cannot wait!!!! I really do love vacation and I am getting really used to them this summer. They will definitely be missed in the months to come. Gymnastics and dance will start for Kaleigh around the 2nd week of September and Isaac starts back to school the 3rd week of September. He heard about a distance learning pharmacy school in Omaha so I think that is the one he is going to apply to this winter. It is the same 4 year school as anywhere. Then in the summer, he will go for a couple of weeks to do his labs. Exciting stuff!!!!
